된장찌개: Dwen-Jang-Jjigae

Taking inspiration from many fabric books made by Louise Bourgeois, I took a sculptural class to learn sewing and using a sewing machine to make my own fabric book about my favorite homesick food - Korean Dwenjang Stew called Dwen-Jang-Jjigae. Also taking inspiration from children’s interactive flap books made of fabric, I made the process of making the stew into a visual interactive play.
Print method: Screenprinted text on fabric, rest is hand-sewn and machine-sewn, some elements act as flaps or pockets, some are detachable with velcro, the book is not bound together but rather sit together in the cover folder
