Temporary Hideout: Inspired by Wes Anderson Films
The book was inspired by Louise Lockhart’s Up My Street Concertina book. I wanted to experiment in making a book in a similar format and decided to make a fan-zine of Wes Anderson’s films. The shape of a house worked perfectly with the theme of “temporary hideout” that I decided to explore in his films: the reoccuring visual of tents, secret hideouts, and meticulously decorated set of small spaces.
The front of the accordion book has each movie’s iconic scenes with a hideout and a quote. The back of the book has movie titles collaged and hand-drawn on an envelope.
